It is difficult to know what to say ~ 2 of the giraffes Banjoko, in Page, AZ, received from Micheal Jacksons Neverland Ranch have died. The deaths are under investigation. TMZ was here a couple of days ago and Inside Edition was here filming yesterday a piece that will air this evening. Having been to Banjoko a couple of times and interacted with the owners, there is no way I think they were involved. Time will tell if foul play was involved in the death of these two beautiful animals.
46 and Counting – The Story of Banjoko
Normally I would post the video here, but I am asking folks to click through to the YouTube link above and see these giraffes just two days before one of them died. The giraffes appear, healthy and content which is how they were during my visits.
If foul play is found to have played a part in the deaths of these two gentle giants, my hope is the perpertrators will be punished to the full extent of the law. It is also my plea today for the parties involved in the land dispute over Banjoko, to take a step back and take time to grieve for these two beautiful animals now gone. What has the price been?
Here is a piece I wrote on Banjoko a few months ago
