As many local folks are aware Freddie Hancock has been instrumental in relocating a great variety of interesting wildlife to the Page Lake Powell area. Her dream is to house and care for these animals in the Banjoko Wildlife Preserve on the outskirts of Page, Arizona.
Banjoko Fund Raiser Details
This week begins the Online Auction to help support Banjoko into the future. The Online Auction has some of the following items up for bid:
- Seven Day Lake Powell Houseboat Package
- Grand Canyon Weekend Helicopter Tour
- 2007 Sea-Doo GT
There are also several sponsorship packages for the animals available.
The auction is being put on by The Voices of the Wild Foundation, Inc, an Arizona non-profit charitable corporation with a 501C3 designation by the federal government.

Our mission is: To provide a sanctuary where exotic animals who have been mistreated, abandoned and/or voluntarily surrendered can regain and maintain their physical and mental health and live out the remainder of their lives in peace and with dignity.
The Foundation supports Banjoko Wildlife Preserve located in Page-Lake Powell, Arizona. The preserve currently houses four (4) giraffes, one (1) camel, six (6) pythons and nine (9) exotic birds. See their pictures on the right. In addition, two (2) tigers, two (2) alligators and two (2) anacondas are temporarily housed at other preserves until proper habitats are ready for them at Banjoko Wildlife Preserve. Help us bring these animals home!!!
