PowellAPalooza Comes to The Page Lake Powell Area – Music……. Much!

This is the first of several articles about PowellAPalooza, a first ever music festival of it’s type in the Lake Powell area.

On July 21, 2010, the organizers of Lake PowellAPalooza held a meet and greet at Antelope Point Marina, one of my favorite places! The idea was to get information out to the Page Lake Powell locals and business owners about the music festival going on at Page Shores Amphitheater, and several other venues, around the Page, AZ, area on September 23rd to the 26th. The organizers, including J.R. Corkery, have secured an 18 month contract with the city of Page to utilize the Page Shores Amphitheater, located on Coppermine Road. These are the same folks that have produced the Desert Rocks music festival in Moab, Utah with great success.

This years line up has started to be released with more to come in the next few days.

For the Page Lake Powell area, this event has the ability to be a positive influx to our economy for years to come. Those of us that live here, already know the wonder of this area, but what a opportunity to draw people who otherwise would never have come. As a musician for the past – oh too many years to mention – this is a event not to be missed!
