White Christmas’s are normal for many parts of our country, but not Lake Powell. It started snowing here again last night at about 7:00  and has yet to stop. In the 19 years I’ve been a Lake Powell resident this is the first truely white Christmas I recall.

Neighborhood children are out this morning throwing snowballs (well at least the 12 year old boy next door is throwing them at his little sisters) and across the street, two children are starting a snowman.

Usually snowmen at Lake Powell are a version of a sandman, with nice reddish-brown tinted snow and not the pristine white gentleman I see being built through the lightly falling snow this morning.

Warm wishes for your and yours this season!
