In order to take advantage of the First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit of $8,000 or the Move Up Credit of $6,500 your new home must be under contact by April 30, 2010 and close escrow by June 30, 2010.
While the credit was extended once before it would appear this is the final time to qualify. The National Association of Realtors is not pushing to have it extended and there has been no murmuring in congress about an extension.
