This has been a pretty active monsoon season in the Lake Powell area – tho it should be about drawing to an end.
On August 8, 2010 a monsoonal flow passed over Northern Arizona and Southern Utah and dumped a pretty good amount of rain. Four, or so, hours later this is what happened in a normally dry creek bed by Big Water, Utah. This creek drains in to Lake Powell at Wahweap Bay. Note the blue sky!
Footage was shot by David Rankin from Rankin Studio and aired on Fox 13 News in Salt Lake
