Time is Running Out on the $8,000 First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit

In order to take advantage of the First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit of $8,000 or the Move Up Credit of $6,500 your new home must be under contact by April 30, 2010 and close escrow by June 30, 2010.

While the credit was extended once before it would appear this is the final time to qualify. The National Association of Realtors is not pushing to have it extended and there has been no murmuring in congress about an extension.

There are many great homes for sale not only in Page, AZ that qualify for these credits but also in the other Lake Powell areas of Greenehaven, AZ and Big Water, UT.

  • 46 Homes For Sale in Page, Arizona right now that qualify.
  • For Sale in Greenehaven, Arizona are 12 Single Family Homes that qualify.
  • There are also 16 manufactured homes in the same areas of which 13 would be eligible for the largest amount of tax credit, $8,000.
  • On the Utah side of Lake Powell, including Big Water, Church Wells, and Clark Bench, there are 7 manufactured homes and 7 single family homes for sale that could be purchased to qualify for the credit.
