On a brisk, November, morning citizens of Big Water showed up to support their local fire department and show the fire fighters, EMT’s and Medics our appreciation. A BBQ was the center attraction only next to the brand new, to Big Water, fire engine.
Back in June of this year, the Page, AZ, City Council voted unanimously to donate a 17-year old fire engine, in need of major repairs, to the Big Water Fire Department. The engine has since been repaired and is up and running.

Our department has come leaps and bound since the mid 1990’s when the fire department was housed in the South side of the Post Office. At that time the Mayor obtained funding to build our current fire station.
The fire department can now count 8 EMT’s and 2 advanced medics among their numbers.
