With a weaker jobs report than expected and the end of the partial Federal Government shutdown, mortgage interest rates have fallen to the lowest level since June.
Rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 4.13 percent with an average point of 0.8 for the week ending Oct. 24, down from 4.28 percent last week but up from 3.41 percent a year ago, according to Freddie Mac’s latest Primary Mortgage Market Survey. – See more at: http://www.inman.com/wire/mortgage-rates-drop-to-lowest-level-since-june/#!
While the rates are down from this same time period last year they are considerably lower than what had been the norm for many years.
