Page AZ Building Department Report - Lake Powell Real Estate Guide

Monthly the Page City Building Department releases an activity report. Beginning this month I will do a quick overview of the current activity in the report. The report is broken down into commercial building activity and residential building activity.

There is a significant amount of development occurring in Page from McDonalds moving to their new 4800 square foot location by Walmart to the Red Mesa Express getting new underground gas storage containers and a major renovation. The Page City tennis courts are also under construction with the installation of six new lighted courts. Page Steel is erecting a new 90,000 square foot facility and there are also new storage units under construction in Industrial Park.

10 new box aircraft hangars are being built by Lake Powell Development which will be offered for private sale upon completion. 10 acres North of Walmart is intended for a strip mall and is waiting for the developers to start the project. The old Masonic Lodge is under construction and renovation to house Lake Powell Furniture when completed. Brians Paint and Body’s addition to their building is currently underway.

There are several subdivisions either already under construction or waiting approvals. Whispering Sands, a ten acre project of affordable housing is awaiting final construction submittals while Garmella Cherchio Subdivision by Ranchette Estates has grading and utilities going in. Del Rio subdivision will have 107 single family lots and is waiting for the developer to being.

Indigo Ridge, the new 95 acre planned development, has curb and gutter completed and has drawn building permits for model homes. More on the progress at Indigo Ridge in a coming post.

Larkspur Commons, the 72 unit apartment complex and development associated with the new Amangiri resort, has approvals in place and construction plans are being reviewed.

Toroweap Subdivision is a new residential subdivision of 21 units on the west side of Scenic Drive and is currently under construction.

While this is not a complete list as there are a few hotel renovations going as well as church renovations, the message is clear. …Page is active, alive and well and a great place to be.
